Pedagogical and Cultural Institution of Heves County Government

The institute was established in 1985 by County Council of Heves. At that time the only profil was supplying services to the teachers in  the area. Now the institution consists of two branches: pedagogical and cultural units. We work with a wide range of experts. The most important goals of the organization are attached to the pedagogical sector: to help the teachers in kindergartens and elementary and secondary level with up-to-date refresher courses, to organize pedagogical trainings, conferences, meetings, workshops speading the most useful and modern educational programmes and teaching methods, to give pedagogical information to schools and the social partners of schools, to collect and spread good practices, to organize several competitions to students in connection with different subjects and competencies. We work for talent identification, support gifted children in the county and cooperate with some TalentPoints, exchanging information.

The institution has taken part in many nationwide and European Union applications, projects. The main aims of the most important projects are to involve extending competence-based education, and to develop a wide network of shcools not only in the county but in the region and supporting gifted children from kindergarten to secondary school, developing county-wide network to help talent supporting communities, to collect and spread the best practices.

Our main principles are permanent learning, servicing, cooperation in high quality.

 

Our institution is accredited adult-training institution from 2006 and TalentPoint from 2009, regisrated and accredited in the national Genius Network.
